  Important Notice – Claims Process

Until further notice, please do not send any claims forms or supporting documentation by post as the Claims office is now operating with minimal staff due to government guidelines during the Coronavirus emergency.

The Claims office are still able to accept and process documentation sent by email to and will endeavour to resume their normal service as soon as possible. With this in mind, there is no need to send original documentation by post where you are able to email it, although please do retain it as the Claims office may ask you to provide this at a later date.

If you have no other alternative than to send documentation by post, please bear with the Claims team as this may not be acknowledged or processed for some time.

Prior to 13th March Claims will be considered regarding Coronavirus subject to the policy terms and conditions.
After 13th March On the 11th March 2020, the World Health Organisation upgraded the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak to a worldwide Pandemic. Based on this, as of the 13th March 2020, our insurer has classed Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) as a known 'circumstance in line with our policy terms conditions.
General Exclusions Applicable to All Sections of the PolicyWe will not pay for claims arising directly or indirectly from:12. Any circumstances You are aware of at the time of taking out this policy that could reasonably be expected to give rise to a claim on this policy.
Claims will be considered regarding Coronavirus subject to the policy terms and conditions and Foreign and Commonwealth Office guidance, for any element of your trip booked before that date.
Any element of your trip booked on or after this date will not qualify for coronavirus related claims.

The policy will not cover any claims caused by or relating to Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) or severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus (SARS-COV-2) or any mutation or variation of these. Nor will we cover any claims relating to any fear or threat concerning these viruses. This general exclusion applies to all sections of cover.

  • Reference: Blue Insurance
  • Policy Number
  • Resort and country visited
  • Value of claim
  • Brief circumstances
  • Travel dates
  • Incident Date

Failure to have the above information to hand may result in your claim being delayed.
